As hip hop legend LL Cool J said way back when...
Don't Call it a Comeback!
Its been a long, long, long time since the last time I blogged about my life on the Left Coast. Lots of things have happened and I am going to do my best to recap the last year of my life. So here we go.
Last time we talked, I was in the middle of baseball season. See, here is me coaching my team. Well this how our season ended like this. It was a great first season and it ended with me receiving this little guy (Over or under 5 times I have worn it since I got it? WAY under).
After my 1st year of teaching ended, I took another job in the West Valley of Phoenix in Peoria, Arizona. Which means I had to leave the wonderful city of Laughlin (its been real) and head to my new home of Surprise, Arizona. Liberty High School was my new home for the year and I couldnt have been happier to be there. I am coaching the freshman team now and hoping there is another state title in my future (we were #1 in the state earlier in the year).
Here are two fun facts about Surprise Arizona...
1. People drive golf carts on the street like they are cars. No really, they do. Check it out.
2. The stadium we won our state championship is in Surprise. Small World.
Here is a quick list of some of the highlights from the last year I havent mentioned...
-I have passed all my state tests (finally) and am certified in the great state of Ohio. I'm so excited!
-Ohio State beat *ichigan and restored the balance of my life.
-Felix Hernandez threw a perfect game and signed a long term deal with Seattle. Favorite Athlete Ever!
-I got a new tattoo and plan on getting one more this summer.
-I saw two of my close friends get married and was in both weddings. See check me out here and here;
-Kate moved back home to Michigan because she has potential job lined up.
-My long time NCAA football punching bag, Brad Brown, is getting married too. Super exciting.
I hope I didnt leave anything out. I am going to try to keep this going (yea, I know I have said that before but changing the lives of young adults everyday is sort of time consuming). So I hope you enjoyed this post and I will be back soon.
As always, stay out of the heat and watch out for scorpions.
PS. I have some new projects in the talking phase. If I can them off the ground, this summer will be pretty cool.
