Sorry it has taken me so long to write. I wanted to try to write a lot but things have come. Basically, I got a little lazy and was waiting for something interesting things to write about. Well today I have decided to compare kids in Arizona to kids in Ohio. I have put together the following list of things I have noticed about the kids out here. So for the following list, these are things that Arizona kids do but Ohio kids do not. (I understand this isnt true about all Arizona kids and/or all Toledo kids but its just an observation) Enjoy.
Some Arizona kids....
1. Count on their fingers
2. Drop out of their Senior year to take a minimum wage job
3. Drop out of school
4. Wear I love Boobies bracelets (Yea I dont know)
5. Think Mac Miller is an awesome musician
6. Know who Mac Miller is
7. Complain about 65 degree days
8. Go home because it rains
9. Celebrate when it rains
10. Ride their bike instead of studying (A kid actually said that to me)
11. Take a zero on a test instead of finding a pencil to use (True story)
12. Swear in front of teachers
13. Swear at teachers
14. Call teachers playboys (True Story)
15. Skip school because it was their Dad's birthday (Sad, but true story)
16. Think they will own an Aston Martin on a firefighter's salary (Crazy)
17. Get suspended for fighting and then first day back get suspended again
18. Come to school on something and assume I cant tell (C'mon man)
19. Think education is worthless because they are going to be a famous model, skater or X-Gamer
20. Tell a teacher I'm not doing anything today because my stomach hurts
21. Tell a teacher I'm not doing anything today because I dont feel like it
22. Tell a teacher hes a dick because he makes them take notes
23. Claim they must call their mom because its an emergency (It wasnt)
24. Claim they must text their dad because its an emergency (It wasnt)
25. Finally, some kids openly admit they dont care about school
I hope you enjoy the list. This is not true about every student out here and I'm sure there are students in Toledo like the ones out here. With that being said, I have experienced every situation on this list. So it is what it is. Stay out of the heat and watch out for scorpions.
Ok I have 1, 4, 11, 19, 23 and variations of 8 (we let them out in the rain to go home), 15 ( skip school to get their hair done), 17 ( come back and get suspended for fighting again) and 22( mine just complain and tell me they'll remember everything I said). So it's not you or Arizona, it's the kids.
